The Fair has has been rated alongside Courson outside Paris and Bingerden in Holland as "The Fair you should visit at least once in your gardening life." (Joanna Fortnam, The Daily Telegraph).
Open daily from 10am until 5:30pm - Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June, 2010 tickets are available on the gate for all three days of the Fair.
The gardens are fully open during the Fair and included in the ticket price. The house is closed.
In its third year, the Fair will again provide a showcase for dozens of respected specialist nurseries and outstanding garden accessories not generally available on the show circuit.
The Fair also champions artisans demonstrating their traditional crafts - willow weavers, gate makers, bodgers etc. etc.
Good quality catering will be available from The Chopping Block (more info).
The extremely popular Plant Swap, which we launched at the Fair, last year, will be even more extensive in 2010. Swap an unwanted plant for something often far bigger and possibly more interesting! This stand also doubles up as a great garden advice stand. Do come armed with your questions or queries and plant in hand.
New for 2010 there will also be the opportunity to hear talks from experts such as Dan Pearson, Garden and Landscape Designer with an international reputation (Saturday), James Alexander-Sinclair, Garden Designer and Broadcaster (Friday), and Alys Fowler of BBC Gardeners World fame (Sunday). These talks take place daily at 2:30pm and are available on a first come, first served basis. Arrive early for a chance to hear them, but if you miss out there will also be an opportunity to meet them as they will selling their latest books and offering to sign any that you might already own.
Punch and Judy are also booked to keep the children amused.
